ARCHERY

Archery is an ancient hunting technique which can traced back to 25,000 BC. In those days, flint arrowheads were shaped to a point and inserted into a slot in the front of the arrow and feathers were glued and tied to the arrow shafts.

Things have changed somewhat these days! Today it is a popular recreational sport with archery clubs all around the UK dedicated to fine tuning the archers target eye.

Our archers will explain all the various techniques and safety features before an arrow is fired. You will be aiming for marked targets which are backed up with straw bails. Although there is a heavy pull on bows used in competitions, the ones we use are much lighter and easier to use and we have bows that can be used by both men and woman of all adult ages. Within no time at all you'll be taking aim in true Robin hood style...but with slightly less requirement for green tights and feathers in your hat!

Many of our clients choose to add other activities to their itinerary such as combining a morning session clay pigeon shooting with a BBQ lunch followed by trout fishing, quad biking or off-road driving.
